Dr Lee Music Education Centre
Dr Lee Music Education Centre (‘The Centre’) was initiated and found in 2008 by Dr Fangjun Lee, an internationally active piano educator, musician and musical scholar. In the Centre, there are a number of excellent music teachers. The Centre has achieved a great success in music education, in particular in the domain of piano education, since its inception, and now it has became one of leading and innovative music education providers in Sydney.
In the Centre, there are two music teaching studios – Carlingford and Castle Hill. The Carlingford one is the main studio at this stage, it locates in the heart of primary and secondary education in Sydney where James Ruse Agricultural High School, Carlingford West Public School, Epping West Public School, Murray Farm Public School and Carlingford Public School, etc. are all around it. Many students in the Studio are from the schools above, and there are also many students in the Studio are from the Carlingford, Eastwood, Epping, Beecroft, Ryde suburbs
Vision & Mission
The music courses in the Centre are designed to provide practical skills, knowledge and tools to well perform musical works and improve students self-study and creative abilities. Specific objectives and outcomes of music education in the Centre include:
- To help students to acquire accurate music performing skills, knowledge and abilities to precisely express different levels and styles of music pieces;
- To help students to improve the abilities of music sight-reading and music self-study;
- To teach, motivate, and inspire students to make significant progress and increase interest of music learning.
- To help students to improve focus durability, pleasures and balance between left and right brain mainly through music instrument learning, in particular piano learning.
